1980s pop icon Taylor Dane lists her San Fernando Valley home

Iconic 1980s pop sensation Taylor Dayne, famed for her hit debut single Tell It to My Heart and recent appearance on RuPaul’s Secret Celebrity Drag Race, has listed her long-time residence in the Valley Village area of LA’s San Fernando Valley for just under US$2.5 million.

The asking price marks a substantial increase from the approximately $1 million she paid for the property in 2013, according to the Robb Report.

Michael Okun of Sotheby’s International Realty–Sherman Oaks Brokerage is handling the listing.

The property, now devoid of personal items and staged for sale, boasts a two-storey layout encompassing five bedrooms and four and a half bathrooms spread across about 362sq m.

Noteworthy features include a detached two-car garage converted into additional living space with a modern bathroom.

Situated near the home of former Vanderpump Rules stars Ariana Madix and Tom Sandoval, the residence melds various architectural styles, featuring a Tudor-esque bay, a Palladian window, and Mediterranean-inspired wrought-iron railings.

Inside, a grand central staircase separates the formal living and dining areas from the updated, all-white kitchen, complete with marble counters and stainless-steel appliances.

The main floor hosts a spacious ensuite guest bedroom and a whimsically wallpapered powder room, while the upper level accommodates four bedrooms, three bathrooms, and a laundry closet.

The primary suite encompasses a fireplace, walk-in closet, private balcony, and contemporary bathroom with luxury amenities.

Outdoor amenities include a deck with an outdoor fireplace, a grassy landscaped yard, and a swimming pool.

The detached garage, fitted with French doors, offers additional living space finished with wood floors and a modern bath.

Dayne, setting her sights on the east coast, purchased a two-bedroom condo in a 1960s oceanfront tower in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, for $800,000 a couple of years ago.
