  • A package of Italian Sausage
  • 1 Onion, diced
  • 3 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 Red Pepper, diced
  • 1/3 cup Milk
  • 6 Eggs
  • 1 bag Frozen Hash Browns
  • 2 cups Cheddar Cheese, shredded
  • Pepper, to taste

How To Make Mother’s Day Breakfast Casserole:

  1. First, preheat the oven to 375°.
  2. Next, in a skillet, cook the sausage until browned. Make sure you crumble the sausage as you cook it.
  3. Transfer the cooked sausage into a mixing bowl.
  4. Then, remove the left over sausage grease, with the exception of 1 tablespoon.
  5. Add the onions and red pepper, and cook until softened.
  6. Next, add the garlic, and then saute for another minute.
  7. Remove this mixture, and add to the sausage.
  8. Add the hash browns, and 1 1/2 cups of the cheese into the mixing bowl. Combine.
  9. Then, in a separate bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, and black pepper, until combined.
  10. Add the egg mixture into the sausage mixture and combine
  11. Pour this mixture into an 11×7 inch baking dish.
  12. Then, top with the remaining cheese.
  13. Cover with foil, and bake for 20 minutes. Remove the foil, and let cook an additional 10 minutes.
  14. Remove, let cool, and then serve.
