This will be the fifteenth running of the Singapore GP, a nighttime street race that quickly became a staple on the Formula One circuit once it debuted in 2008.
Among active drivers, Lewis Hamilton is the king around Marina Bay with four wins here. Fernando Alonso has won twice, in 2008 and 2010.
The circuit itself is a harborside locale on the southern shore of the city-state. Singapore’s humidity makes this one of the most physically demanding races of the year, and there’s been at least one safety car appearance in every Singapore GP to date.
