Terra Nova Nurseries has announced the expansion of its Coreopsis Nova Series with the introduction of Coreopsis ‘Nova Amber’. The new addition features rich amber blooms that contrast beautifully against its deep-green, slender foliage, offering a striking and versatile option for gardens and landscapes.
Coreopsis ‘Nova Amber’ exhibits a fast-growing, mounding habit and produces vibrant blooms from June through September. This accent plant enhances landscape appeal in mixed beds, borders, containers, and mass plantings. ‘Amber’ is also deer-resistant and highly attractive to pollinators and hummingbirds, thriving in full sun with average, well-drained soil for optimal growth.
Finishing growers should allow this variety to dry moderately between waterings for greenhouse growing. The finish time from a liner to a 4-inch pot is four to six weeks. Finish time from a liner to a 1-gallon pot is six to eight weeks. ‘Nova Amber’ grows actively in the spring, reaching a height of 18”, width of 30”, and flower height of 20”. USDA Hardiness Zones for this variety are 6-10.
