Khaled Arabzedeh: overcoming rejection and building success in Casey


Khaled Arabzedeh’s journey in real estate is all about the power of persistence, loyalty, and sheer hard work. 

After applying and getting rejected from nearly every agency in Melbourne’s southeast, he found an opportunity with Area Specialist as a PA and has never looked back.

“I basically applied for every single agency,” Khaled said.

“I moved to Victoria not long before and didn’t know the streets, wasn’t familiar with the area, didn’t know the suburbs.”

From starting as a PA, he’s since opened his own business and now has a team of 10.

Khaled primarily operates in Hampton Park, Narre Warren South, and surrounding suburbs in the City of Casey. 

The area has a diverse demographic that presents unique opportunities.

“It’s a very multicultural area with a lot of first-time buyers, second-home buyers, and investors, especially from interstate,” he said.

This market knowledge has helped Khaled and his team secure Agency of the Year in Hampton Park for five consecutive years. 

More recently, they’ve expanded their dominance to include Agent and Agency of the Year awards for Lynbrook, Lyndhurst, and Cranbourne.

Unlike many agents who start with traditional franchises before transitioning to models like Area Specialist, Khaled began his career directly with the company. 

His decision to stay has been driven by a strong sense of loyalty.

“For me, it’s all about loyalty – who gave me the opportunity first, who gave me the chance,” he said.

“It’s been Area Specialist, so I decided to stick with it.”

“I find Area Specialist really easy to work with, and they are very flexible where they need to be,” he said.

“You keep more money. 

“It’s not the old system where you have to pay a huge franchise fee and a big cut to the big guys.”

Despite his personal success, Khaled said growing a team has been the real key for him.

“I’ll give the most credit to my team and their dedication and the effort they’re putting in on a day-to-day basis,” he said. 

“Without a team, I don’t think any agent can do 180 or even 100 sales. 

“So all the credit goes back to my team.”
