Step 1 - Easy Apple Craft - Apple printable on white cardstock with a boy's hand placing a ball of brown tissue paper on the apple's stem. Glue bottle sitting on the left side of the frame.

Step 2 - Easy Apple Craft -A boy holding a rolled up ball of red tissue paper above an in-progress tissue paper apple craft.
Tear the tissue paper into pieces and crumple each piece to form a circle.

Tear tissue paper into small pieces and crumple into a small tissue paper ball.

Step 3

Step 3 - Easy Apple Craft -Boy is gluing a ball of red tissue paper to the white cardstock apple.
Press the tissue paper balls onto the wet glue and continue to add more pieces to create a mosaic.

Glue tissue paper crumpled ball onto apple template with glue. Do this in focused areas by color. We found it was easiest to spread glue onto a small area that you plan to work on.

Focusing on a small section at a time worked best because the glue didn’t get smeared all over the card stock. Plus, we didn’t have to rush to apply the tissue paper balls before the glue dried.

Finished Apple Craft Made of Tissue Paper & Glue

Finished apple craft: Red, green, and brown tissue paper apple on white cardstock.
Allow it to dry completely and then your back to school artwork is ready to display!

Of course, you can leave the apple as is or cut it out and glue it to another piece of cardstock. This red apple would look nice adhered to a piece of black cardstock.

Framing Kids Apple Artwork

Another option is to frame your tissue paper apple craft.

This is our favorite kid’s artwork frame because it’s front-opening, which allows us to quickly and easily change out the artwork. Another thing I love about this frame is that you can store old artwork right inside, behind the new artwork. So handy!

Giving Framed Apple Craft as a Gift

Of course, with the start of school fast approaching, your child could present this beautiful homemade mosaic apple to her teacher. Children have been giving apples to their teachers for years to show appreciation. I’m sure your child’s teacher would love to display this beautiful apple in her classroom!
