Shottenkirk Automotive Group bolstered its Texas footprint with the purchase of a luxury dealership in the third quarter.
The expanding auto retailer on July 27 bought Jaguar-Land Rover Boerne from Charles Barrett, CEO Greg Shottenkirk confirmed. Boerne is northwest of San Antonio.
The dealership was renamed Shottenkirk Jaguar-Land Rover Boerne, Shottenkirk said. It marks the first Jaguar-Land Rover dealership for the group, he noted.
Andy Gill, CEO of Gill Automotive Group, a sell-side firm in St. Augustine, Fla., represented Barrett in the transaction.
In addition to Texas, Shottenkirk Automotive has dealerships in California, Georgia, Alabama, Iowa and Illinois.
Shottenkirk Automotive, of Prosper, Texas, ranks No. 56 on Automotive News‘ list of the top 150 dealership groups based in the U.S., retailing 14,429 new vehicles in 2022.
