A Bath-based housing association is looking for contractors to build and develop new homes over the next four years.
Curo, one of the South West’s biggest landlords, is looking to build 2,000 homes by 2027. Contractors have until midday on 28 May to submit tenders for one of three framework slots.
Selected firms may be called on for individual projects with Curo, its related companies and occasionally other social housing providers in the UK.
The company aims to award the framework slots on 8 August, with the contract starting 10 days later.
Curo, along with Essex-based Swan Housing Association, secured a strategic partnership with Homes England in 2019 to build 1,067 new affordable homes by March 2024.
A 280-home development in Street, Somerset, aims to begin construction in 2025. Curo has also received outline planning permission for a 213-home scheme in Keynsham and is drawing up more detailed proposals.
It is currently building the second phase of a 700-home scheme in Bath in-house. The first residents occupied the scheme in spring 2017 and construction aims to complete at the end of 2026.
Curo manages more than 13,000 properties in Bath, Bristol and the surrounding area.
