How to Make Glow In The Dark Bubbles
For this glow in the dark bubble tutorial, you will need adult supervision and recommend using gloves because this craft involves using glow sticks that are cut open.
While the chemicals inside glow sticks are typically non-toxic, they should be handled with care.

Supplies Needed to Make Glow-In-The-Dark Bubbles
Directions to Make Glow-In-The-Dark Bubbles
Step 1
First, start by opening your bubbles and cracking your glow sticks.
Step 2
Next, have an adult take sharp scissors and cut open one end of the glow stick and start pouring out the glowing mixture into a container of bubbles. If you have a hard time getting the substance to come out, snip off the other end of the glow stick and it will help move things along.
Step 3
Repeat the steps above for each color of bubbles you want to make. Keep in mind, the more glow sticks you add to your bubbles, the brighter the bubbles will be. We used about 5-6 sticks per container of bubbles.
Step 4
Finally, blow the bubbles in a dark area and watch them glow. These bubbles glow faintly when blown and it’s more noticeable in the dark.
Glow in the DArk Bubble Variations
- You can also use a black light to see them even better. The glowing effect only lasts about 10-15 minutes since the glow sticks have been opened but it does provide some easy, night time fun!
- If you want to enhance the glow, you can add glow-in-the-dark paint to the bubbles and mix that in as well for an added glowing effect.
