From Nov. 20 to Dec. 10, 2024, hundreds of poinsettia enthusiasts converged at Mitchell’s Nursery and Greenhouse Inc. in King, NC, to view more than 12,000 poinsettias, 85 varieties among them, and vote on their top picks.
Three plants of each poinsettia variety were made available for judging, and voting was separated into four categories:
The top five favorites in each category were voted for, along with the option for Mitchell’s Nursery voters to write in their three favorite varieties, regardless of category. With 229 total voters, the results are as follows:
