Munnelly Support Services has appointed Andrew Rhodes, former operations director at Mace, as its new managing director.
Rhodes joins after three years in his previous role. His career spans senior roles at Stansted Airport, Wilson James, and High Speed 2 Ltd.
He replaces James Munnelly, who will move into a strategic board role at parent company Munnelly Group, which delivers construction and infrastructure support services across the UK.
Rhodes, who holds an MA in Defence Studies from Cranfield University, said he was “delighted” to take the helm at a time when Munnelly Support Services has a “strong order book” and “very strong pipeline of future work”.
He added: “I look forward to working with the team and the Munnelly Group leadership to continue delivering client-focused support solutions through innovation, trust and collaboration.”
Munnelly Group chief executive Phil Munnelly said Rhodes’ leadership would drive operational excellence and praised James Munnelly for overseeing “significant operational and financial improvements” during his five-year tenure as managing director.
James Munnelly said: “After five incredible years, I am proud to be stepping into a group board role to help shape the strategic future of Munnelly Group.”
Munnelly Support Services provides pre-planning logistics services, construction traffic management plans, delivery management, and waste management solutions.
Its portfolio includes Heathrow Terminals 2A and 2B, the Olympic Athletes Village, Lord’s Cricket Ground, and 20 Fenchurch Street in London.
Founded in 1982, Munnelly Group has grown from a family-run construction company into a multi-brand business operating in construction, security, rail, recruitment, work-winning and geospatial surveying.
