Richardson & Wrench Double Bay primed for continued success

One of Double Bay’s most reputed and longstanding real estate agencies is set for ongoing success with a trio of property experts at the helm.

James Dunn has become co-principal at Richardson & Wrench Double Bay, as it celebrates 41 years in business, joining his father Michael Dunn and chief executive officer and director, Robynne Arnouts, in leading the agency into the future.

Mr Dunn, 42, joined the Double Bay agency in 2007, initially in property management.

Sharing his father’s passion for property storytelling, transparency, and the trait of ‘always doing the right thing’, he is one of the most successful real estate agents in the area, achieving top sale prices, including a $31 million Point Piper home and the title of Richardson & Wrench Number One Salesperson six years running.

Richardson & Wrench Double Bay was established by Michael Dunn in 1983.

Ms Arnouts joined the business 10 years later, catapulting the agency into record-breaking sales rankings thanks to their expertise in real estate marketing and management.

Over the years, the partnership has handled some of Australia’s most famous harbourside home sales to clients including the Murdoch family and Kerry Stokes.

It was the first Richardson & Wrench branch in Australia to break the $10 million barrier and once sold a record 31 properties in a single auction night.

“I’ve been fortunate to learn from the best in the business,” Mr Dunn said.

“My father, Michael, instilled in me the value of reputation, respect, and hard work from day one when I sold my first two-bed apartment.

“Real estate for me is much more than just sealing a deal – it’s about caring for the people at the heart of the sale, our team, and sharing our success.

“Supporting and mentoring our junior associates is something I’m particularly passionate about, and I’m excited for our next phase. Double Bay is a wonderful community to be part of.”

Mr Dunn Snr said his son joining him and Ms Arnouts in leading the agency meant Richardson & Wrench Double Bay was in excellent hands for the future.

“We’ve sold magnificent properties over the years and met many fascinating people,” he said.

“What will always stand us apart is our absolute dedication to our vendors and our team in everything we do.”

Richardson & Wrench Group Managing Director, Andrew Cocks, said, “Double Bay is one of our most established and successful agencies and it’s fantastic to see James take up the baton in the business with Michael and Robynne.

“Home sellers, buyers, and tenants in Double Bay are lucky to have such a great team to take care of their property needs.”
