Recipe Notes:
- Not a fan of regular chocolate chips (semi-sweet chocolate chips or milk chocolate chips) you can use your favorite like white chocolate chips and dark chocolate chips. These homemade cookies will still be great!
- If you want large cookies use more than a tablespoon of cookie dough, but be prepared to bake longer about 12-13 minutes.
- Only have dark brown sugar? That’s fine! That will work just as well for this copycat Mrs. Field’s chocolate chip cookies.
- If you add salted butter instead of unsalted don’t add a pinch of salt.
- You could add nuts like walnuts, macadamia nuts, or whatever you like in your treats if you wanted.
- Don’t want too big of cookies? Use a cookie scoop.
- Put your dough balls in the fridge for a bit before baking, your cookies won’t spread as far.
- You can use chocolate chunks if you don’t have chocolate chips.
