Hello and welcome to our live coverage of the 2024 Wimbledon Championships, the 137th edition of the most famous tennis tournament in the world.
We will be bringing you live coverage throughout the next two weeks, as Carlos Alcaraz and Marketa Vondrousova look to defend their respective titles.
It promises to be a busy opening day in south-west London, with Alcaraz opening play against Mark Lajal on Centre Court today, with play beginning at 1.30pm BST (8.30am EDT). But the day’s play starts much earlier, at 11am, with the likes of Grigor Dimitrov, Caspur Ruud, Maria Sakkari and Heather Watson all in action.
