Galliford Try names new chief financial officer

Galliford Try has named Kris Hampson as its new chief financial officer.

Hampson will join the contractor by September this year, moving from group financial controller at FTSE 100 pest-control firm Rentokil Initial. He replaces Andrew Duxbury, who is leaving Galliford Try to become chief financial officer at Persimmon.

Hampson said: “I am delighted to be joining Galliford Try as it continues its impressive performance and sustainable growth strategy. The group has an incredible history, proven financial performance and the future outlook in its chosen sectors is strong.”

Galliford Try chief executive Bill Hocking said: “It is testament to the strength of our business that we have been able to attract someone of Kris’s calibre. We are delighted that he has chosen to join our executive team, and his appointment will underpin our progress towards our strategic goals.”

Galliford Try chair Alison Wood said: “I am delighted to welcome Kris as the group’s new CFO. Kris has considerable financial experience with a FTSE 100 company and is an excellent addition to the board. Kris will play a key role in delivering the group’s future growth plans and I look forward to working with him.”

The business is set to provide a strategic update at a Capital Markets Event on 23 May.
